The sheep in the barn

What a big surprise, isn't it? I've thought that, since i was writing the blog in Catalan for the people from there to know what i am doing here, i will write this post in english to allow the Tiffany one to understand it and to refresh your in most cases oxidated english, you big lazy bitches!!

:-D

ehemm...

SO! The fact is that i guess i don't have that many things to say... it hasn't been exactly a trip.. but a return to everything i was (and am still) so used to... remeeting friends, redoing stuff... nothing has really changed, and i am glad and relieved that (i was really worried for that) everybody can still be happy and enjoying without me bothering there :-)

Just the day i came home i was tired, and also it was a Barça match on TV, so i maturely decided to stay home, since i haven't properly seen a Barça match for a long time. They played Barça vs Atlético de Madrid, and was not specially exciting, but boring. It was curious for me to see it, since in Hamar i've just only seen the Madrid-Barça through the internet (and badly and in chinese) and a big part of the Barça-Chelsea in a bar... which means that i haven't seen a victory so far... and the ones with good football memory will realise that i still haven't, since the Barça vs Atlético was a poor 1-1...

So what i did... i went a couple of days to Barcelona, shopping and filling all the christmas present spots that weren't filled yet. I happily noticed that Barcelona (and Granollers also, of course) is extremely cheap compared to Norway (not a surprise to notice that btw...), which is really nice... i also unhappily noticed that, if i don't work in Norway... doesn't matter much if it is cheaper or not.. since my money keeps slipping from my hands at a really fast pace... it's extremely sad to see that at the end of the month, you won't have the traditional and usual recovery new income... but it will change soon, as soon you will know in new upcoming posts :-D (let's pray to the virgin, ganesh and buddah -maybe someone listens- that it actually happens :-D)

As i say, everything is pretty much the same... eli's marihuana is still destroying, oscar keeps smashing us in every catan game, in the As de Copes there is still the same people, the same music and the same environment, the houses i've visited (thanks for the hospitality to everyone :-D) hasn't been redecorated... but everything, of course, it's normal.. there is only three months since i've gone... and of course again, everything has changed much more for me than for anybody else still there... and also the ones that had left (i am thinking in oscar and toni easily -and tiffany of course :-)-, but many of the ones who are reading this have left for a while), and i am sure you can confirm that everything in your home locations -and specially in Granollers- haven't changed much during your absence... and i don't know how is actually in other places... but i don't remember Granollers changing much in the last.... hummm... 10 years? :-D with the good and bad things that it means... ha! But one thing changed!! Thanks mama for tidying my room :-) I guess you threw lots of stuff, but thanks to my fish brain, i really don't remember what was there before :-D

Of course it was Christmas, so some family & other dinners had to be held... the typical christmas eve and christmas day at home with the close family, the typical in Taradell with aunt Maria and Josep and Piti -hello everyone! Piti... this post will work to practise your english ;-)-. Also, Carme and Jordi, my favourite cousin & partner, which you will know for the comments they often leave here, came to dinner one day, making a quite long one... even we didn't have any qigong session (Jordi is a qualified instructor! ;-))

For the last and second year, the tradition of having the New Year's Eve dinner at Eguren's house was mantained. I say for last year, not because i leave and people can not do it anymore, but because Eguren also leaves after a couple of years in Granollers to his homelands in the northern shores of Cantabria. Btw, Eguren, i have to make a space to visit you in your new farm... i really like the cantabrian area (and you are not bad either :-p), and if i can live up the fantasy of heading down to Granollers by car in summer, for sure it will be a little lap to there >:-D

I feel actually strange writing this post in english... but is also fun and gives a little bit of change to the blog, so! As they would say here... værsågod!

(btw.. just now here are Jett and Aida (Mitra and Amir's daughter... i told you about them in some other old post) playing hide and seek in the house... so... if suddenly i have to stop because something is broken, you will forgive me :-))

I am going for the branches :-D i was talking about the New Year's eve dinner (and eve)... we were Oscar, Albert, Xavi and Eguren (and me)... much less success in terms of population than last year, though we didn't make any publicity of the event in that way.... also.. the preparation was a bit lesser also... since last year we had a fantastic "12 bell-tolls version" of the AC/DC's "Hells Bells" that was a big hit... this year, and due to reformatting issues in Eguren's computer, we weren't able to find it... so... men of world as we are, we had to improvise something else... i don't know if you know that kind of instrument that is like an "all-i-oli" pot... nepali or from somewhere around (say asia :D), which is played just moving the "stick" (ehem) around the top of the pot, while in creates some kind of ressonance into the pot, and it sounds actually quite loud... well then, we had that, and we used it for the bells... the problem of course is that WE, personally and manually, had to set the pace (concretely Albert -hello Albert! :-)-)... and the pace was by all meanings NOT rhytmic and NOT on time... so we lasted 20 minutes for the bells, and to drink the perceptive 12 shots of grape juice -aka cava or champagne- (which is the drunk variation of the tradition :-D)... but we discovered that nobody dies doing it that way... so far so good then!

The New Year's eve eve was a bit strange... we were thinking in going to the parquet, which is the old pavilion of Granollers, and where typically there is a New Year's party held every year.. last year we went there and it was quite ok, and it seemed many people was going to be there... as many as it was full when we arrived in the door :-/ So we kept walking in Granollers looking for something else... the as de copes was expensive... the Basic was also expensive and they seemed to close early.... so finally, we (i and some more... some others had been spread around those previous places, others and homes) decided to go home... after spending 3,40€ in the whole New Year's Eve... which is quite good, and i have to think... but very probably is the very cheapest that i've lived. :-D

What else what else... uhhmmm... actually... since of course i am writing late (19th of January is today...) i don't exactly remember what happens when, in the way that everyday was kind of similar, and there is a cloud all around those days in the calendar of course :-/ :-p No more no less than i expected :-D

I didn't train anything, against what i naively expected, and i filled my belly with food&beers instead of running around and lifting heavy stuff... anyway Angel... you had to call me to go jogging somewhere, so i give to you half of the fault! (Ehemm..)

And passing passing the days, it came the 2nd of January, that is when i supposed to leave (and i actually left :-p)... thanks everybody for the days and for making me feel at home as always :-D i am glad i met almost everybody i wanted to for enough time. As I told you live, of course, i expect all of you here when you want and i can :-D

Btw, the goodbyes this time weren't much less dramatic than the other time.. i guess it's normal and we both (me and all of you) are more used to not be together day by day. I am glad about it, since i don't like goodbyes one bit... anyway... i had a knot in the stomach the day i left... because actually... ehemmm.... :-$... i love you guys :-D snifff...

But! Once again, after every goodbye it follows a welcome... so i like to think in that way better, and thanks Tiffy for giving me a warm welcome once back home :-D

Btw... i also didn't take much pictures... I even took the cam to Barcelona expecting to be kind of tourist (it always happens to me when i have been abroad and i come back to Barcelona or usual places... that i look at everything whith more touristic eyes)... but not... actually i didn't feel like taking pictures compulsively as i use to do here... probably here (in Norway), everything is much more new, and outstanding to me... and i've seen all in Barcelona (and of course Granollers) many many times for many many years in a row. Or something :-)

So we'll see what comes out!

Barcelona, btw, is very pretty, and i will leave here a picture of one of my favourites squares... la plaça del Rei with the palace of the Count of Barcelona (while i was waiting for Toni & Oski)

Here we have one of the big distractions of the holidays! Eguren is selling this luminic stuff and has lots and lots at home... so we borrowed some of them very often just to be stupid and luminic. I actually think that it is very cool! If you want to buy them i will kindly give you the number :-D

One of the most important moments of my visit was, of course, the ceremony of the prize giving to the mighty and honoured winner of the renowned vegetal contest. For everybody to know that it was no trick nor paper (i wonder how "cartró" would be called in english...), here it is the evidence that the prize was effectively and gladly given to the lucky winner Oski. Estrella Damm sponsoured the ceremony.

I want you to notice the real value of the prize, a real viking very angry warrior that struggled against wind and storm to go to warmer lands in the shores of the Mediterranean. I ask for some respect for our viking friend. For Tutatis!

Well... i don't have more pictures actually... so i will goodbye this strange (for the language and for the "shortness" -though is not that short... but in comparision with the last ones... fiuu fiuuu-) post with a picture that must be of course in any blog or page i star :-D Canton btw, my couple for the Carnival... i will miss you then.. but... will you find someone as beautiful as me? :-D I doubt it :-P I encourage all of you btw to FINALLY dress as something TOGETHER... say Young Ones, say A-Team, say Spice Girls (which is not a bad idea AT ALL for being just improvised ;-))

See you soon!! ;-)
